If there's one thing that I know of, it's that 90%+ of all people that use a Windows computer, never ever perform any maintenance operations on it. They never empty cache or temporary file folders. They never optimize their hard drive. They never clean out or optimize their registry.  After a couple-three years, people finally start noticing that their computer isn't as fast as it should be, and they have no idea what to do or even how to start fixing problems that may exist. That's why I like Tune Up Utilities 2011. It's perhaps one of the best all in one utility applications available for Windows today.

Shareware and freeware applications are installed all the time. Some of them are value added, and you use them. Some of them fill a need and then you forget about and never use them again.  Some you uninstall.  In many cases, installed apps run some kind of stub or helper application that sits in the background. Now with TuneUp Utilities 2011, you can turn off programs completely and drastically reduce the system load on your PC.  Services, startup entries, background processes, or scheduled tasks in a program that are turned off will remain inactive until you need them again. For software that is needed but rarely used, you can use TuneUp Utilities Program Deactivator to turn off that software until you need it again.

With the new Start Center, finding the features you need is now easier.  The display is laid out well and determining what needs attention is clear and easy to see.  Finding the tuning status of your PC is easier, as it's clearly visible on the bottom of the main display. Finding next steps to improve on that status is as easy as clicking on the links to the right of the progress bar.

Conclusion: If you don't stop what you're doing and install TuneUp Utilities on your PC right now, you're missing out on a great utility and application.  It's one of the best in its class, is easy to use and does a wonderful job of keeping your PC working the way it's supposed to.  Please note that this does not take the place of an antivirus or internet suite, but can be used in concert with it.

The application bucks the current trend of less expensive applications and is priced at $50 USD. While this is a tad on the expensive side for today's shareware market, this is truly a must have application.
